Forward-Looking Microgrid Solution for Sustainable Energy and E-Mobility

Planning and implementation of a microgrid with charging park, battery storage, energy management system, rooftop PV system and PV carport

Together with LANDI Sarganserland and AGROLA AG, Ampere Dynamic Schweiz GmbH has realised a forward-looking microgrid solution at the Agrola petrol station shop in Sarganserland.

The heart of the project is a high-performance PV carport. Electricity generation is supplemented by a photovoltaic system on the shop roof, resulting in a total capacity of around 100 kWp.

For efficient use of the generated electricity, fast-charging infrastructure for electric HGVs (400 kW) is being installed, enabling vehicles to charge during breaks at the location. In addition, a new switchgear cabinet has been installed that integrates an intelligently controlled battery storage system.

In this project, Ampere Dynamic is responsible for complete site planning as well as the installation and commissioning of all system components. The grid connection is being upgraded to 1000 A to ensure future expansion of the charging park. It is also planned to integrate an existing charging station on an adjacent plot into the overall system.

As part of the optimisation, swept path calculations were carried out and the site layout adjusted to ensure the most efficient use of space. The system is designed so that the charging park can be expanded modularly with additional charging points at any time.

The planning phase has been successfully completed. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with subsequent commissioning of the system.
