Low-Emission Operations Thanks to Maximum Self-Consumption

iba – Büro und mehr wanted to link its sustainability strategy to a concrete economic step: maximum self-consumption of solar power, minimal energy costs, near emission-free operations. In May 2023, Ampere Dynamic commissioned a 537 kWp photovoltaic system designed for self-consumption. The solar power plant is expected to generate around 537 MWh of clean electricity a year. It covers a substantial share of the company’s own consumption and feeds the surplus into the public grid.

The result is near emission-free operation over the year and a lasting contribution to the iba Group’s paper cycle. The system is further evidence that economic viability and sustainability go together.
